Jane was born and bred in Newquay, and has worshipped at St Michael’s Church since her student days. She is married to Frank and has one son. She has an Honours Degree in English from Manchester University and a BD from London. She became a Reader in 2007, and then, called to ordination, was ordained deacon in 2010, and priest the following year. She taught Old Testament for Truro Reader Training Department, and in 2014 she was appointed Director of Reader Training, retiring in 2022. She is a self-supporting minister now in the Benefice.
Jane is also a fluent Cornish speaker, is a Cornish bard and Chaplain to the Gorsedh. She is Chair of the Bishop’s Ecumenical Advisory Group for Services in Cornish and organises services in Cornish throughout the year.
